OEM Factory Service FAQs

What is OEM factory scheduled maintenance?

OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) scheduled maintenance refers to the regular service your vehicle’s manufacturer recommends based on mileage or time—such as oil changes, filter replacements, fluid checks, belt inspections, spark plug service, and more.

Do I have to go to the dealership to maintain my car warranty?

No. Thanks to the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, you’re legally allowed to choose your own repair facility, like Harrell & Beverly, without voiding your warranty, as long as the work follows factory guidelines.

How often should I follow the service intervals?

It depends on your car’s make, model, year, and how you drive. Common intervals are every 5,000 to 10,000 miles, with major services due at 30K, 60K, and 100K miles. We can pull your maintenance schedule and keep you on track.

Can you service my newer vehicle?

Yes. We specialize in late-model domestic and Asian vehicles. Whether it’s fresh off the lot or just out of warranty, we can handle routine maintenance and repairs—often faster and more affordably than the dealership.

Will I receive a report or proof of service?

Absolutely. We provide Digital Vehicle Inspections (DVIs) with every visit, including photos, videos, and service documentation. We’ll also keep your service records on file for future reference and warranty proof.
