Digital Vehicle Inspections (DVI) FAQs

What is a Digital Vehicle Inspection (DVI)?

A DVI is a comprehensive inspection of your vehicle performed by our ASE-certified technicians. Instead of just telling you what we find, we send you a clear report with photos, videos, and detailed notes, so you can see exactly what we see.

What does the DVI report include?

Your report includes photos, videos, and technician notes on your vehicle’s condition, from maintenance items to safety concerns. It highlights what’s working well, what may need attention soon, and what requires immediate repair.

How do I receive the DVI report?

We’ll send the full report directly to your phone via text or to your email. You can review it anytime, whether you're at home, at work, or on the go.

Is there an extra charge for a DVI?

Our DVIs are part of our standard testing and evaluation process. While there may be a fee for diagnostic testing depending on the concern, the DVI itself is included as part of your vehicle’s overall health check.

Why is a DVI better than a traditional inspection?

With a traditional inspection, you might only get a verbal explanation. With a DVI, you receive proof, visual evidence of the vehicle’s condition, so there’s no confusion or guesswork. You’re fully informed and in control of your repair decisions.

Can I share my DVI report with someone else?

Yes. Your DVI report is a digital link you can forward to a partner, friend, or anyone helping you make decisions about your vehicle.

How long does it take to receive the report?

Most DVIs are sent within a few hours of vehicle drop-off, depending on the concern and our current testing queue. Late-day drop-offs may carry over into the next morning.

Do I have to approve everything in the report?

Not at all. We’ll walk you through your options and help prioritize what’s urgent and what can wait. You’re never pressured to say yes to everything. We’re here to help you make informed, confident decisions.
